A Different Nuremberg University of Technology

Nuremberg is located in the north of Bavaria, and Hong Kong people probably know Nuremberg not only as the fairytale old town and the hometown of the famous painter Dürer, but also as the famous Nuremberg sausage! This amazing place for tourists will soon become an international education center in Germany.

Bavarian Premier Markus Soeder recently said that 3 billion euros will be invested in higher education in the region over the next 10 years. Existing University of Nuremberg (Friedrich-Alexander-Universitaet)
Erlangen-Nuernberg and the Technische Hochschule Nuernberg received €1.5 billion and €300 million respectively. What about the other 1.2 billion?

1.2 billion will be used to build the new Technische Universitaet Nuremberg.
Nuernberg TUN)!!!! The establishment of TUN has created a storm in Germany’s traditional education, it will mean a change and innovation in German higher education, opening an unprecedented educational model, a big step forward to the international level of elite universities.

TUN’s teaching model will be modeled on the leading Technische Universitaet Muenchen TUM and will be “interdisciplinary, international, and innovative”, with emphasis on revolutionary and innovative research, new learning concepts, and closer coordination and collaboration between research and teaching.

The student-teacher ratio at TUN is also very different, the university will have 200-240 professors, but only 5,000-6,000 students, the student-teacher ratio is 1:25, while the same figure for other top universities in Germany is 1:60-90. Students who wish to study in Germany no longer need to spend two or three years learning difficult German language and technical terms, they can study in Germany even if they have studied English for more than ten years.

However, there is no free admission to ……. All courses at TUN are restricted admissions. Restricted admissions refer to the number of applicants
The number of students is far greater than the number of places, so universities go through a rigorous selection process to select the best students. For example, in Germany, an unrestricted English course would probably have a DSE of 22 or higher. By extrapolation, the TUN restricted English-access courses would probably be higher!

Now is the time to plan your future!
